Entrepreneurial Mindset is the active ingredient of the Edupreneurial Pivot.

Entrepreneurial Mindset refers to a specific way of thinking and a set of attitudes, which drive entrepreneurs and keep them in a specific action framework, the Entrepreneurial Proceedings.

A list of ten attributes of the Entrepreneurial Mindset should allow to develop effectively this state of mind.

Decorrelated from its economic and commercial considerations, an Entrepreneurial Mindset can be born or reborn within the actors of the school.

Edupreneurial Pivot - The book defines Entrepreneurial Proceedings as the fact of combining various elements to solve a problem through the optimal use of available resources and, when necessary, by developing innovative solutions.

Activities are considered entrepreneurial when they adopt this basic form of action.

The Pivot invites all the actors of the school to act according to a framework similar to that of the Entrepreneurial Proceedings.

Edupreneurial Pivot-The Book has established that the starting point of any form of Entrepreneurial Proceedings lies in the conviction of being entitled to change things and in a sense of responsibility that leads to feel in charge and drives action.

Multiple elements can compose a Mindset: skills, attitudes, habits, postures, perceptions, experiences, beliefs, skills, knowledge, traits, virtues or particular logics.

As fas as Entrepreneurial Mindset is concerned, it is not made of technical skills necessary for the exercise of the entrepreneurial profession.

The Entrepreneurial Mindset is composed of personal and social skills. They materialize in the ability of entrepreneurs to encounter success in their businesses, independently and sometimes despite an unfavorable external context.

These skills are not the subject of a single description. There are many different lists.

Despite this, a narrow list of ten attributes is sufficient to characterize the Entrepreneurial Mindset on an operational level. In practice, the knowledge, awareness, understanding and development of these 10 attributes represent the framework to consider to effectively support entrepreneurs in an Entrepreneurial Mindset coaching process.

These ten attributes are:

1. Creativity
2. Curiosity
3. Initiative and autonomy
4. Connection: ability to combine, to see opportunities, critical thinking
5. "Timely achiever": ability to engage and disengage, persistence / resilience
6. Ability to solve problems
7. Ability to create value
8. Ability to work with resources available
9. Ability to make decisions that take into account constraints
10. Promoter and relationship builder

The tight comparison between the various descriptions of the Entrepreneurial Mindset and those of the 21st century skills makes for the establishment of innumerable points of convergence. Schools are therefore required, without knowing it, to teach skills that are comparable to the expression of the Enterpreneurial Mindset.

Unfortunately schools evolve in institutional cultures absolutely contrary to an Entrepreneurial Mindset which leads to the Education Cliff.

This situation weakens both the impact of 21st century skills teaching initiatives and the teaching of entrepreneurship initiatives. The progresses of an entrepreneurial pedagogy will indeed be very limited in a context that remains anti-entrepreneurial.

The Edupreneurial Pivot will this situation.

The Pivot's ambition is not simply the spreading of entrepreneurship education in the form of educational projects, but rather the transformation of school organization in general.

The reference to an Edupreneurial Mindset differs from the teaching of entrepreneurship and serves to position the question at the level of the school organization.

The Edupreneurial Mindset is aimed at all actors in the school and reinforces their raison d'être as an actor of education, and their ability to act autonomously in the place where they are. Actors can then aim at solving the problems they encounter, when these problems occur, and without having to wait for answers from elsewhere.
